Could Obsidian Be Teasing Fallout 4?

Obsidian has recently updated their website to show off a brand new teaser, to what looks to be a new game in the works. The popular RPG developer has been behind such titles as Fallout: New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights and the upcoming South Park: Stick of Truth.

The site now features the number four surrounded by an Ouroboros, this ancient symbol which shows a snake or possibly a dragon eating it’s own tail. Underneath we are treated to a short series of text that reads as follows, “What do the words mean? Nothing. The Dirge of Eír Glanfath is sound without form, a lone voice crying out in mourning because it must.”

Could it be Fallout?

Once the image has been clicked you will be taken to the forum for Project X Speculation & Discussion, the forum is specifically for fans to begin speculation on what the teaser could be about and what the words mean.

The forum teases with the description as “Obsidian’s next RPG endeavor” saying that the game is so secret “not even its project codename is yet being revealed.”

Could this possibly be related the the heavily rumoured Fallout 4? Or one of their many other RPG franchises? Time will only tell and we will update you as soon as we can, when we have more information.

  1. Well, they’ve revealed that it’s a fantasy RPG now, so I think we can rule Fallout 4.
By the way…”It has a 4 on it, so it must be Fallout 4!” …*sigh*…great journalism there. For a tabloid, that is.

  2. I DOUBT IT!

but no seriously i don’t think this is fallout 4, either dungeon siege 4 or something new for them

    • BEYOND!
Probably not, but it always fun to speculate. I think it does seems weird if the next numbered Fallout didn’t go back to Bethesda to develop, since Obsidian only worked on the spin-off.
