Valves Launches New Steam Software Apps
If you’re a fan of Valves Steam platform, then you’ll be happy with this news. Or not, you might not be a Steam fan. If such a thing exists. Valve revealed in August that it would be moving beyond mere gaming into the app scene. These apps will function as productivity apps “marking a major expansion to the platform”. These apps are available right now and are as follows:
. ArtRage Studio Pro.
. CameraBag 2.
. GameMaker: Studio.
. 3D-Coat.
. 3DMark Vantage.
. 3DMark 11.

Of course, these are the first ones with more on the way. You can check the upcoming apps on Steam’s Software Page which you can access here. If you want these at a cheaper 10% off deal, then you’d better hurry because next week they go back up to full price as the discount is to celebrate their launch so hop to it. Many of these apps will take advantage of Steams features making it clear that Steam is serious here. Steam Workshop support will also work with GameMaker: Studio making it possible for users to save whatever work they’ll come up with.
All sounds exciting for all the little developers out there. Good to see someone throwing you guys a bone.
