Green Arrow Joins Injustice: Gods Among Us

For whatever reason, I become much, much more critical of super heroes when they’re based in even a slightly more-grounded form of reality than their cohorts. Super-sonic speeds? Sure. Heat vision? No problem. Using a bow for a primary weapon just… because? You’re losing me.

But then NetherRealm Studios announces (via Entertainment Weekly… because of the new Arrow series on TV. Yeah, I didn’t get it right away either) that Green Arrow is the newest addition to the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster. One look at his character trailer complete with freeze, rope and firework (!) arrows and I’m desperately searching for the nearest straw and rubber band just so I can get in on all the obviously awesome bow action.

The DC brawler is slated to launch next year for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
