Sony Gaikai Teases Many Big Games

Gaikai, now known as Sony Gaikai has teased some games on it’s website such as Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, God Of War, Mass Effect amongst others. The company’s site has uploaded an image of a panaroma that includes a Helghast, Raiden, Kartos and more.

Sony purchased Gaikai back in July for a sum of $380 million dollars and we’ve heard very little until today. If you’re not familiar what Gaikai is, it’s a cloud gaming service similar to OnLive, the cloud gaming service that was bought for $4.8 million dollars after financial troubles.

The description in the image reads: “Over the past several years, we’ve worked tirelessly to re-define the way people access and play video games. We developed amazing streaming technology, assembled an accomplished management team, and built the world’s most widespread cloud gaming network.”.

Now that Gaikai is part of the Sony family, they are committed to “working even harder to ensure the world’s best entertainment content is delivered instantly to you, no matter where you are in the world.”

Gaikai and Sony’s merging could mean a variety of possibilities. We could be playing games like Uncharted 3 on a Vita for instance. And since Gaikai streams games rather than downloads them to your console, computer or tablet, this is entirely possible if you think about it.

Tell us what you think about this news. We’d love to hear what you think.
