Minecraft 360 Smashes XBLA Charts

Indie hit Minecraft is being played more than Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 13 on Xbox Live Arcade.

In a report published by Major Nelson, Minecraft 360 is shown to have topped the charts for the first time, knocking off Call Of Duty, a title that has dominated the charts almost non-stop for the past 4 years. FIFA 13 is currently in third position in the poll. The poll is the current poll of October the 15th.

The 360 version of Minecraft was recently reported to have sold four million copies since the games launch earlier this year which made it the best-selling XBLA game of all time. That’s an impressive milestone for Mojang given the slew of very good XBLA games that have come out during the 360′s lifetime. Minecraft is competing with some solid titles and is surrounded by games such as Borderlands 2 and Call Of Duty Black Ops.
