Nintendo have just released their own version of iTunes in partnership with Rekochoku (レコチョク) which translates to “Record-Chokusetsu” or “Record Direct”. Note that this isn’t officially Nintendo challenging Apple with a new service, it’s just their take on readily available music for their users with this new partnership.
Rekochoku on the 3DS starts this December in Japan with a reported million songs and more readily available for customer purchase. The store will be available for purchase via the 3DS but to buy songs, you’ll have to be a member of Club Rekochoku.
More news on Rekochoku if and when it develops.
