Activision’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Gets an Official Title

In early July, Activision announced they would be releasing a first-person shooter based on the popular TV series “The Walking Dead.” The game is being developed by Terminal Reality (BloodRayne, Kinect Star Wars) and will focus on Daryl and Merle Dixon during the journey to Atlanta before they meet the group.
The game finally has an official title: “The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.”
Activision says the game will be “a do-whatever-you-need-to-survive first-person action game that brings the deep, character-driven world of AMC’s Emmy Award-winning TV series onto console gaming systems and the PC in a frightening, new way. The game puts players in the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon, alongside his overbearing brother Merle, on a haunting, unforgiving quest across the Georgia countryside to reach the supposed safety of Atlanta.”
With the statement “console gaming systems and the PC,” it’s a possibility we could see the game come to the Wii U, but neither a Wii U version or the release date for the game have been announced except for a TBA 2013 window. Rest assured, Analog Addiction will let you know as soon as we find out.
