Carl is also playable but we did say fan favourites. Characters will have their own unique abilities that players will be able to utilise to ensure survival. Along with a team of four, four levels of difficulty will also be available for players.

Is The Beyond: Two Souls Release Date Legit?

A listing on Beyond: Two Souls PlayStation page has listed a release date for the game.

A listing appeared showing the release date for Quantic Dream’s latest game to be the 25th of May 2013. However, since it was brought to IGN‘s attention not an hour ago, the listing has changed to “2013″. The 25th of May is a Saturday so it’s unlikely that the game will release on that day because games usually tend to release on Tuesdays and Fridays in the US and Europe respectively.

A New PC Shooter From Brink’s Developer

Splash Damage, the developer behind last year’s Brink, or Enemy Unknown: Quake Wars, revealed their newest project, called Dirty Bomb.

Dirty Bomb is a PC shooter, set in a modern day London, England. They also revealed a teaser trailer for the game:

Not much is known about the game, except for the fact that it’s a multiplayer focused FPS, and their website is encouraging gamers to reserve their names, by signing up on the publisher’s website: Warchest.

In addition, Dirty Bomb’s online services are powered by FireTeam, a company that specializes in matchmaking, transmedia connectivity, and more.

Assassin’s Creed 4 in 2013?

Co-op in Single-Player? A new entry next year?

Ubisoft has issued a new survey, which was obtained by The Gaming Liberty, covering many things about their beloved Assassin’s Creed franchise. Among other things, fans are questioned about the general satisfaction with gameplay/combat/sequences/story arcs and many more, concerning Assassin’s Creed III.

The interesting part, is the one which questions the fans about a possible co-op feature, integrated in the main story (of their next game). It asks if players would enjoy “the possibility for a friend to join the game in order to help” with missions, puzzles, and other adventures. Assassin’s Creed III is the first game to feature a co-op mode, but only on the multiplayer side.

Furthermore, they are asked what would they like to see in a future Assassin’s Creed game, if they would buy a new entry in the franchise next year, and whether they would like to see Connor or Desmond return.

Assassin’s Creed III was released in October/November, and was highly popular among gamers and critics alike. Our own Jamie Briggs gave it an 8, saying: “Assassins Creed 3 is an impressive entry in the series and one of the best games this year [...] it is definitely worth the experience, and a must-buy for fans of the franchise.” For further details, check out his full review here.

Dragon Age III Is Going Next-Gen

Dragon Age III is going to be released on the next generation of consoles.

In the resume of EA’s Shanghai level designer Tao Gu, it says that the “scope of the DAIII has been chaged [sic]” and it will now “target next gen platform [sic] and will be postpone [sic] to 2014.” It seems that Tao Gu has been working as a level designer for the EA Shanghai team, and was “in charge of concent [sic] and layout design from paper to engine for vertical slice” from March 2012 to September 2012.

Dragon Age III was official announced back in September, but no platforms were mentioned. This raised some kind of suspicions on what is going on about it, and it seems they were right.

PlayStation Plus: December Content Revealed

The European PlayStation Blog has posted an article detailing some of the confirmed games for PS3 and Vita for December.

On December 5th, PS3 PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Batman: Arkham City, LIMBO, and Vanquish. Although Vanquish may not have received the commercial success it deserved, a lot of critics believe it is a hidden gem of the current generation. Further more, PS3 subscribers will get two upcoming games for free; Big Sky Infinity (12th December) and Knytt Underground (21st December).

PlayStation Plus subscribers with a Vita will also get Big Sky Infinity and Knytt Underground on the same days as the PS3 subscribers. As long as you are not in Australia, Vita subscribers will also get Mortal Kombat for free on 19th December. Several Australian subscribers were questioning whether they would get Mortal Kombat for Vita and Chris Howe, PS Store and Plus Content Manager- SCEE, replied, “We are aware of this issue and we are working with the publisher to find a replacement title. Once we have it locked you guys will be the first to know.

In the December article, Mr. Howe also reveals that PS Plus subscribers will get a PS Plus members-only Devil may Cry demo some time in December.

It is important to note that the blog says, “Additional offers and savings TBC.”

*Please note this is only for countries “AE, AU, GB, IE, NZ”

You can read the full article here.

Thanks to George Sinclair for finding the blog post.

Aliens: Colonial Marines – Survivor Mode Trailer

In the upcoming game Aliens: Colonial Marines, there will be a multiplayer game type called “Survivor.” No, Jeff Probst will not be sitting on some tropical island with a bunch of the marines. Instead, it’s a small team of marines attempting to work together to complete a series of objectives while xenomorphs attempt to kill them. It feels very similar to the Left 4 Dead style of multiplayer, with different styles of xenomorphs, but obviously the weaponry will be slightly more high-tech than Left 4 Dead’s pistol or electric guitar. As someone who hasn’t been paying a whole lot of attention to this game, I can say that the intensity of this trailer grabbed my attention and refused to let go of it until the very end.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is set to release on February 12, 2013 on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC.

New Dead Space 3 Screenshots

Visceral unveiled a slew of new screenshots showcasing some more of their upcoming title Dead Space 3. Feast your eyes on some of the screenshots!

There’s a lot to absorb and ponder after seeing these new pictures, like what part that group of people play, or how some of those necromorphs got to be so crispy looking. Unfortunately, we’re stuck waiting until either Visceral tells us a little bit more about the game or the game lands on February 5th and 8th in North America and Europe respectively.

Nintendo Has a New 3DS XL Bundle for the Holidays

Did you not take advantage of Nintendo’s Super Mario 3D Land 3DS bundle when Black Friday hit the U.S. last week?

If you missed out on that deal, then Nintendo has given consumers another deal for the holiday season.

Rather than releasing a new 3DS bundle, Nintendo will now release a limited-edition 3DS XL bundle on Dec. 2. Coming in blue or black colors, this 3DS XL bundle comes with a pre-installed copy of “Mark Kart 7″ for $199.99.

With the 3DS XL costing $199.99 and “Mario Kart 7″ holding a $39.99 price tag, it would set you back about $240  ($259.78 with tax) if you purchased them separately. Basically, you are getting “Mario Kart 7″ for free.

Well, if you missed out on the Black Friday 3DS deal, does this deal reel you in? Does it make you want to get a 3DS XL? Does a XL 3DS entice you to begin with? Let us know in the comments section.
