Giant Sparrow has today announced they are working on a second project, The Unfinished Swan developer revealed the working title is “Edith Finch“.
“When you make games about evoking a sense of discovery and wonder the publicity part of it is a little tricky.” Giant Sparrow stated on their companies personal blog. “That’s why for our next game we’re going to start talking about it early but in broad strokes. Our last game took us a little over 3 years to make so as you can imagine we’re still in a very early phase on this new one.”
With their latest blog post Giant Sparrow released one piece of concept art, a single image of a mirror with two sparrows fittingly sitting on the outer frame.
“Mostly, we just wanted to answer all the fans who have been asking us if we’re working on anything new. The answer is “yes,” by the way.” this is great news for Unfinished Swan fans and it’s safe to assume the game will release exclusively on PlayStation consoles. Giant Sparrow are signed to a three game contract with Sony, a very similar contract that beloved Journey developer thatgamecompany were signed too.
Giant Sparrow confirmed the game was “not a sequel to The Unfinished Swan“, but did further state that “it’s not a million miles away either“.
