The Hollywood adaptation of Assassin’s Creed starring X-Men: First Class’s Michael Fassbender could be seeing a 2013 release window.
“Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer. All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year. So it’s not only about games, we are talking about a global brand, and this is the life cycle management we want to set up now.” said Ubisoft chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin.
It should noted that isn’t an official confirmation as executives say this kind of stuff all the time. Sony’s Jack Tretton said in an interview in September that Dust 514 would be out in October but it turned out not to be true. However, the film recently found a production studio and they already have a big name actor attached to the project, so the film looks to be firmly on course.
