Peter Molyneux Asks For Donations

Fable creator Peter Molyneux is appealing for donations to help fix his social experiment app, Curiosity: What’s in the Cube up and running again.

Curiosity launched last week and is already bogged down with server issues that has seen users lose coins in the game and suffer lag when seeing others actions. Molyneux explained the plea for donations last Friday via Twitter. “We may need to help make the experience truly wonderful, our server costs are going to ramp up with our new fix”.

A statement from 22Cans attempts to explain why they are having trouble with the app. “We are a small independent developer and due to popular demand we now offer the option for kind people to donate, so that we can make Curiosity the best possible experience it can be,”.

You’ll note on the website that donations are accepted via PayPal.

Molyneux has stated that 22Cans are now at the point where they know how to fix Curiosity’s server troubles. “I am convinced these guys have the solution. It’s over there on the white board [gestures] and I really don’t understand it.” said Molyneux in a Youtube video on 22Cans official channel. Skip to the 2:01 mark for the quote.

“Once we’ve got that solution we’ll be ready to take you on another journey…Thank you for your patience.”
