Black Ops 2 Sells Over 1 Million Copies Before Official Release
Black Ops 2 is already on its way to commercial success. According to Tony Bartel, President of GameStop, “GameStop sold more than 1 million units worldwide during our midnight launch period.”
This total does not include copies sold on launch day, or from other stores. Black Ops 2 is shaping up to be another big launch and could be on track to break Modern Warfare 3′s record of 6.5 million copies during its first 24 hours on sale. Many doubted if Black Ops 2 would be able to raise the bar, but it looks like Treyarch could do just that.
