Mirrors Edge 2 “In Production”. Oh Yes

The sequel to the 2008 sleeper hit Mirrors Edge, Mirrors Edge 2 is in full swing according to DICE.

Ben Cousins, a former employee of DICE Tweeted that Mirrors Edge 2 “is in production at DICE”. This is the first news we’ve heard of Mirrors Edge 2 in a while. Patrick Bach of DICE said in July that Mirrors Edge is a title that they still love and “couldn’t kill” and we also heard that EA still takes the IP seriously at E3 2011 but of course, Cousins Tweet confirms zip.

Mirrors Edge 2 was officially confirmed to exist in 2009 but that was three years ago so whether this Tweet ends up as a reference for another news piece about Mirrors Edge 2 being in the works or it turns out to be the first step into news of an announcement, we’ll have to wait and see.
