Avalanche Ships Back Dev-Kits
Just Cause 2 developer Avalanche are “shipping back” their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 developer kits in favour of developing for the next generation of consoles.
Avalanche Studio’s founder Christofer Sunderberg Tweeted a picture of the PS3 and 360 dev-kits all lined up and ready to go with the caption “We’re shipping ‘em back. Going next-gen on your asses”.
Avalanche are known to be developing a game for the next gen that many assume (and hope) is Just Cause 3. The project they’re working on, project Mamba, “continues to surpass all expectations and is a incredible testament to the talent and experience of our team”. Whilst Sony and Microsoft haven’t officially unveiled plans for the next gen, dev-kits for both project Orbis and Durango are said to have shipped to developers as early as February in Durango’s case.
More on the news of Avalanche’s next project as it comes.
