The Wii U Is Off To A Good Start
The Wii U has sold 400,000 consoles in it’s first week of release.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has revealed that the Wii U is off to a good start with it’s first week on the market. Alongside the release of the Wii U, 300,000 Wii units were sold in the same week. “They’re selling out immediately” said Fils-Aime, “Wii U is essentially sold out of retail and we are doing our best to continually replenish stock”.
Handheld sales are also enjoying a health week with 250,000 3DS units being sold and 275,000 units of the DS.
It would seem that despite predictions from one of the pioneers of gaming that Wii U is unlikely to be a success.
