Valve updates Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Internet loses its mind.

Earlier today, Valve issued a nice 70MB update to each of their own games on Steam. One of these games was Half-Life 2: Episode 2. What is so special about that game that made me separate it from the rest? Well, it could be that its update was a good 330MB bigger than the others, evening out at a good 400MB. According to Valve, the updates are intended to add Big Picture support for their games. If that’s so, then why is HL2:E2‘s update effectively over five times as big as the rest?
Oh, yeah, and there’s that really ominous video on Machinima’s youtube channel that came out at the same time.
The binary on that video translates to, “Our new world order begins”
Yep, it was just a matter of time. Valve is actually Skynet. We’re all doomed.
