It was announced today that the first content for Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass owners, was now available to download. “The Hidden Secrets” pack is now available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC owners Season Pass owners (Tomorrow for Australian players), with the content becoming available broadly on Xbox 360 and PC on December 11, with PlayStation 3 gamers receiving the DLC on December 13. It was also stated that the content will become available to Wii U owners at a later date.
The Hidden Secrets content pack includes three extra missions, including the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War and a Dangerous Secret. It has been stated this pack will give gamers one extra hour of gameplay, which “will take them from the lost Mayan Ruins to the high seas. Each successful mission completion will net gamers in-game weapons. Players will also receive two single player costumes including the Colonial Assassin outfit and the Captain of the Aquila uniform, while two multiplayer costumes in the form of the Redcoat and deadly Sharpshooter will also be included.
Owners of the Season Pass get early access to all five upcoming downloadable content packs, including to now releasing Hidden Secrets pack. The Season Pass also offers gamers a 25% discount off the purchase of each content pack separately, so if you are interested in owning all of the content for Assassins Creed 3, the Season Pass is the smartest option.
It was also confirmed earlier this year that three of the episodic piece of content will tell the tale of an alternate history storyline, where George Washington uses his power over America in “The Tyranny of King Washington” single player campaign. Within this content taking place in 1783 Washington has become blinded by his unlimited power and has declared himself king, it is your job to dethrone the king and return freedom to the land.
The other content pack has been confirmed as “The Battle Hardened” pack, which will feature all new maps and character for the multiplayer section of Assassins Creed 3. There are no confirmed numbers for the maps or the characters as yet, but we will keep you informed as we know more.
