You put the Ryu in the Megaman, and mix it all up.
In an industry where fan-created content tends to get shot down by publishers simply out of spite for their fans, it’s astonishing to hear that Street Fighter X Megaman, a fan-made clash of Street Fighter characters in a Megaman game, is not only not being shut down by Capcom, but is even being endorsed by the decades-old publisher. On December 17th of this year, you can download the game for free on Capcom’s community website, capcom-unity.com/mega_man.
Also, you can check out the fricken sweet trailer for the game right below:
I, for one, am wholly ecstatic over this, seeing as I’ve never been able to play Megaman as a kid, but was entranced by the tv shows, gutsman’s ass, music, and fan-music most of my life. At the very least, I’ll be able to boost my social status among my peers by being able to say I played at least some sort of Megaman game.
