Sony has announced the release date for a multiplayer beta for God Of War: Ascension along with pre-order incentive DLC information.

Unveiled in the latest trailer, the multiplayer beta will start on the 8th of January 2013 and will be open to PlayStation Plus members only. Those who download the data will be able to progress and have access to “exclusive rewards” when they play it.

Those who pre-order from Gamestop will receive exclusive armour. The armour itself is from the 2006 Zack Snyder film 300 and is the armour of the films protagonist, King Leonidas. Players will also receive the spear used by Leonidas in the film. The Mythological Heroes Multiplayer pack will also be offered to players. As well as DLC, players will also get a 22″X28″ double sided poster.
