Hitman Trilogy Confirmed

Update:
We’ve just received word, from a Namco email, telling us the Hitman HD: Trilogy will be out in Australia and New Zealand on January 31, 2013.

Original Story:

A press release from Square Enix has, today, officially announced the Hitman HD: Trilogy. The three games included are Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman Blood Money.

The press release says, “Players will experience more than 40 intense missions across three classic Hitman games, all presented in glorious HD.”

The trilogy will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 on January 29, 2013 for North America and February 1, 2013 for Europe and PAL territories. It will cost $39.99 in North America, but no word has been given about how much it will cost in other regions.

The trilogy will be great for gamers who want the nostalgia of playing old Hitman in HD and great for younger gamers who never played the original games.

This may, or may not, be the official box art.

Nathan Manning is an Editor for Analog Addiction who never played the original Hitman games. You can ask him why on Twitter, just please don’t hire a Hitman to take him out.
