Tomb Raider Multiplayer Details
A week ago (or last year), we reported that the people over at the Official Xbox Magazine will be the first to take a look at the multiplayer side of Lara Croft’s latest adventure. Now the details have been released by a user, via their forums.

The first and most basic mode is, of course, ‘Team Deathmatch‘, in which one of the teams takes the role of the ‘survivors’, while the other one will be the ‘scavengers’ of the island. Matches will consist of best of three, with players alternating between the two sides.
Maps won’t be as big as you would expect, but they will be full of traps, places to climb, destroyable environments, and the weapons will be low-tech, like Lara’s bow. It seems that the enemy players will not be the only thing you’ll need to take care of. One wrong step, and it’s respawn time.
Another mode is called ‘Rescue’, in which team Lara must collect med-packs and deliver them to specific points on the map, while the ‘scavenger’ team must stop them by any means necessary. In this mode, the ‘survivors’ have a bleed-out time that can be cut short by dealing a melee finisher.
The third more we know of is called ‘Cry For Help’ which is said to put a big emphasis on discovery and collection. This mode seems to be different from the other ones, and more in tune with the general feel of the single player campaign.
Besides all of this, there will be a deep roster of characters to choose from, levels to gain via the usual XP with which you can tweak the stats and gain more bonuses, and of course, load-outs to choose from. You will get to choose a primary weapon (like the bow), a secondary one, a grenade-like projectile, and a climbing axe, which will double as a melee weapon.
Also, Lara was nowhere to be seen. Interesting…
