Irrational Announce Bioshock Infinite Prequel

Irrational Games has announced a prequel to the upcoming Bioshock Infinite called Bioshock Infinite: Mind in Revolt.

Mind in Revolt is an E-book that takes place before the events of Bioshock Infinite’s floating city of Columbia. Players who pre-order the game from Amazon will receive the E-book for free for the Amazon Kindle. Those who don’t pre-order will still be able to pick up the E-book on Amazon for $2.99.

Bioshock Infinite: Mind in Revolt will show what happens before the events of the game and “mysterious sky-city of Columbia”. The prequel is written by Joel Fielder of Irrational Games with creative director Ken Levine overseeing the script. Mind in Revolt follows the story of Daisy Fitzroy, the leader of the rebel group on Columbia named the Vox Populi after she is captured by The Founders, the ultra-patriotic cult that worships the American Founding Fathers.

“Since we first announced BioShock Infinite, our fans have asked for more information about Columbia and the complex cast of characters that inhabit the floating city,” said Fielder. “After reading the e-book, players will have a better understanding of BioShock Infinite’s world, the struggle between its factions, and the motivations of key characters, like rebel leader Daisy Fitzroy, without spoiling the mysteries of BioShock Infinite.”
