Super Nintendo’s Latest Game Scheduled for 2013

I know you guys keep asking, “Where are the new SNES games? And when are they releasing?“. Well I am happy to inform you one is coming out next year, and it’s name is Nightmare Buster.

Nightmare Buster is being created by a production company called Super Fighter Team, they are the game a “masterful run and gun game for the Super Nintendo, Super Famicom and all compatible video game systems.” This is very surprising as the SNES hasn’t had a new game come to the console in the United States since the Frogger remake in 1998, if you couldn’t work that out, that’s 14 years.

We barely know anything about this game apart from the details given, we do however know that the game will be available to pre-order at a total of $60 plus shipping. The pre-orders are limited though to only 600 copies, hopefully releasing sometime this year.

However don’t expect this to be the last game you see from Super Fighter Team on the SNES, as their company goal clearly states.

Super Fighter Team was formed around the dream that new life can be breathed into video games, game systems and computers that have otherwise been abandoned by game companies. Because of this, we proudly offer up what may one day be the world’s only source of worthwhile new games for systems such as the Sega Genesis and Atari Lynx.

I personally missed the SNES error and by the looks of this, there is no better time to jump in than the present.
