Boy saves sister from moose attack using ‘World of Warcraft’ knowledge

No, I am not lying.

While trespassing into moose territory with his sister in a forest close to home, 12-year-old Norwegian boy Hans Jørgen Olsen and his sister encountered a wild moose on their journey. The moose attempted to attack the two, but Hans saved himself and his sister’s life thanks to the skills he picked up playing the popular MMO World of Warcraft.

As the animal attacked the brother and sister, Hans started to “taunt” the moose in order it away from his sister. In World of Warcraft, taunting  an NPC will make enemies focus their strikes on you rather than your lower leveled teammates.

With the taunt successfully driving the moose away from his sister, Hans pulled another trick out of his magic hat of skills from World of Warcraft; play dead. As a result, the moose lost its interest in Hans and his sister and simply walked away from the two. Once the moose was out of sight, the two ran straight home and shared this epic among epics.

And people say video games are bad for you. Silly people.
