Nordic Games announce Deadfall

Nordic Games and The Farm 51, the creators of Painkiller, have announced a new game titled the Deadfall Adventures.

The Deadfall Adventures place you in the boots of James Lee Quatermain, you’ll be tasked with making sure a US agent named Jennifer Goodwin gets to her destination of an ancient Egyptian temple to retrieve an even more ancient artifact named the Heart of Atlantis.

Former Sony employee sues Nintendo over 3D technology

A former employee of Sony is attempting to sue Nintendo over its use of the glassesless 3D technology used in the Nintendo 3DS handheld.

The former employee in question is an inventor going by the name of Seijiro Tomita who had patented a method of viewing 3D images and videos without the use of 3D glasses altogether. Since the release of the 3DS, he’s decided to take Nintendo to court after claiming damages to the use of his technology. If Tomita ends up winning the case, the damages Nintendo will have to pay will be a hefty $292 million.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag confirmed

An image has appeared on the official Ubisoft forums that looks to be the cover art for the next Assassin’s Creed game allegedly called Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Is this Just Cause 3?

Avalanche Studios founder and concept creator Christofer Sunberg has Tweeted an interesting image that could indeed be the first tease to what Avalanche are working on.

If you played Just Cause 2 you’d probably recognise this character here resembling the series protagonist Rico Rodriguez and his particular character model when skydiving, a distinctive and core mechanic of the series. On his left arm appears to the grappling hook that allows him to hitch to any surface.

The Last of Us Development Diary part 1

Naughty Dog have released the first part in a series of upcoming development diaries documenting the process of designing the studios first foray into the horror survival genre.

This video explores the origins of the Infected from a design point of view and really shows you just how serious Naughty Dog are when it comes to designing a game. When The Last of Us is released, be prepared to be afraid.

The Alien franchise is a great collection of films and various other media (most of it anyway). Aliens: Colonial Marines wants to be a game that mirrors the positives of the franchise. However, for everything it does right, it does many things wrong.
