Grand Theft Auto V Gets Confirmed Release Date

Rockstar Games announced today that Grand Theft Auto V has a confirmed release date, and it’s later than you might expect.

The release date for Grand Theft Auto V is the 17th of September 2013 which the eagle eyed readers amongst you will notice that this is a fair few months away from Spring 2013, the original release window for the game.  The reasoning being for the delay is to allow the team to add more polish and fine tuning to the game.
Rockstar reassured fans on the Rockstar website that whilst the delay “will come as a disappointment to many of you, trust us, it will be worth the extra time.” With the nature of the game being “massively ambitious and complex”, the studio working on the game will just need more time to “be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.”

Rockstar also added “To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience.”
