Sony has released a short documentary on the history of it’s PlayStation gaming brand recounting the events that changed gaming forever when Sony first hit the scene in 1994 with the original PlayStation.
The PlayStation marked Sony’s dominance over the competition in the 1990’s with the original home console selling way over 102 million units by the end of its life cycle. PlayStation blitzed the competitions consoles, the Nintendo 64 which sold 33 million and the Sega Saturn which sold 9.5 million.
Sony will be holding a PlayStation Meeting next week on the 20th which is thought to unveil the much rumoured PlayStation 4. Stay tuned next week for Analog Addictions coverage of the event.
