Saints Row IV Will Not Be Coming To The Wii U

With the announcement of Saints Row IV, a representative Deep Silver confirmed that the game will not be seeing a release on the Nintendo Wii U.

With the outrageous trailer that dropped earlier today, the game was listed for a release on “current-gen” consoles as well as the PC. However, when asked if the game was coming to the lastest Nintendo home console, Deep Silver confirmed that the Wii U would not be seeing Saints Row IV at all.

With the news that Saints Row IV not coming to the Wii U, it makes the game the fifth big title that won’t be supporting the console. Far Cry 3, Dead Space 3, Crysis 3 and Resident Evil 6 are the four other big games that will remain on the PS3, 360 and PC.

It was also revealed earlier today that the Wii U has gotten off to an extremely slow start with its sales so far this year in North America. A popular franchise such as Saints Row won’t be doing the Wii U any favours anytime soon.

In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the game here. Whilst you’re at it, mosey on over to our analysis of the first trailer.
