Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Directors Cut Announced for Wii U

Today Eidos Montréal, the developer responsible for the critically acclaimed Dues Ex: Human Revolution, announced a Directors Cut of the action-RPG is currently in production.

Hailed as “the definitive version” by the studio, the enhanced edition of the cyberpunk stealth ‘em up will be hitting shop shelves soon, exclusively for the Wii U.

The Director’s Cut is set to implement a great deal of Wii U Gamepad functionality, including touch-screen hacking, interactive map editing, augmented sniping and grenade throwbacks, as well as many other neural hub enhancements. In addition it will provide Miiverse integration, as well as developer commentaries and in-game guides.

Both the Tongs’s Rescue mission and Missing Link DLC have been merged seamlessly into the larger storyline and several improvements have been made to the overall package. These include overhauled boss fights, refined game balance and combat, improved AI, and striking visual enhancements, which according to the developer “make this edition the best looking and most immersive Deus Ex experience available”.
