Mega Retailer Walmart Posts Information on Future Wii U Games

Retail giant Walmart has listed information regarding release dates and new information on previously announced Wii U titles.

Although many of these titles were announced during a Nintendo Direct broadcast in late January, the only information given was the mere fact of the titles’ existences. Even though the dates listed on Walmart are likely not true, seeing them up and running is still exciting since it could mean the games will release by the end of 2013. The following shows links to the game listing as well as their brief descriptions on their Walmart pages:

Mario Kart Wii U

“Mario Kart Wii U (Working Title), a Nintendo console exclusive, is a pre-release action racing game to be released in December of 2013.”

Zelda 2 RPG Wii U

“ The Legend of Zelda Wii U (Working Title), a Nintendo console exclusive, is a pre-release general action game to be released in Q4 of 2013.”

Fire Emblem Wii U

“More information is on the way! Check back soon!”

Super Smash Bros. Wii U

For some reason, this page lists information about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Perhaps this indicates new Pokemon fighters? Probably not, but you never know.

Mario 3D Wii U

“More information is on the way! Check back soon!”

The most interesting bit of news to spawn from this is listing the Zelda game as “Zelda 2 RPG Wii U.” If the next Zelda title is in fact an RPG, this will mark the first RPG Zelda game since the second title in the series, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link from the NES.

It seems for Ninten-fans, E3 may as well be in another Mario galaxy far far away.
