Have Your Shield Featured in ‘Dark Souls II’

Dark Souls II #9

If you’ve always wanted to have one of your creations featured in a video game, you’ve got an opportunity to get your shield into Namco Bandai’s upcoming Dark Souls II. How do you go about doing this? You’re in luck, because we’ll tell you how!

In order to enter the competition and possibly get your custom shield inserted into the game, there are a few steps you have to take.

  1. ‘Like’ Dark Souls on Facebook
  2. Use the ‘Shield Design’ Facebook app
  3. Download the blank shield template
  4. Create up to three shields to submit
  5. Submit your designs via Facebook before May 20, 2013.

6 shield designs will be chosen as winners and will be announced at San Diego Comic Con this summer. The panel of judges will be comprised of several members of the development team behind Dark Souls II and the winning shield designs will be inserted into the game and become usable. While there is no word on how good these shields will be in the game or how far into the game you will have to venture in order to locate them, the smart money is on them being available fairly early on in the adventure. There is currently no release date for Dark Souls II, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Eric couldn’t bring himself to finish Dark Souls, but he still thinks it would be awesome to have your creation immortalized in a video game. He is also an editor for Analog Addiction where you can find all the latest gaming news, previews, reviews, and everything else that rhymes with those words. ‘Like’ Analog Addiction on Facebook to receive all of the updates as they’re posted.
