Nordic Games Buys Darksiders and Red Faction

Nordic Games has bought the Red Faction and Darksiders IP along with other THQ properties left over from the companies closure earlier this year.

Whilst IP’s like South Park, Metro and Saints Row were sold when THQ first auctioned off the properties, a second was held recently to try to sell those that remained. As well as Red Faction and Darksiders, Nordic Games also managed to get MX vs ATV, Destroy All Humans!, Summoner, Marvel Super Hero Squad and various other titles and licenses. All of these were bought for $4.9 million in total.

Gearbox Software, the developer behind Aliens Colonial Marines was also present at the auction and walked away with the Homeworld franchise for the low, low price of $1.35 million. The Drawn to Life franchise was bought by Sniper Elite publisher 505 Games for $300,000.
