UK music retailer HMV has announced the company is now officially out of administration.
The news comes in the form of an email sent to customers still signed up to the company newsletter. HMV first went into administration in January 2013 and had since made drastic changes to the company to stay in business. Such restructuring moves HMV engaged in were the layoffs of hundreds of staff members and the closure of over 100 retails stores.
HMV was recently bought out and thus saved by Hilco, the owner of HMV Canada who had bought the Canadian branch of the company a few years ago.
