More Details Emerge About “The Watch” for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Series

ACTheWatch

When we first informed you about The Watch, the details available were fairly vague. We’ve since received a little more information regarding what the service is all about.

This VIP program exclusive to the Assassin’s Creed franchise is currently available to those who have preordered Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Given that the game is releasing this fall, there is obviously no in-game content to scour through or use, but for the time being, it is where Ubisoft is placing news about the game’s development, demos, and places they will be to share more information about the game. Once the game launches later this year, you can expect The Watch to provide a place for enthusiasts and fans of the series to share and view their personal content related to the franchise, compare achievements and trophies, receive exclusive timed missions resulting in “unlocking specific missions, special rewards and bonuses,” and then through The Watch, there will be global leaderboards pertaining to these missions that anyone can view.

What are your thoughts on The Watch? Does it pique your interest at all? Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release October 29 in Europe and November 1 in North America, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC and Wii U.
