Valve have confirmed they will join the list of companies not attending this year’s E3 Exhibition.

ValveTime received confirmation from Doug Lombradi, VP of marketing for Valve.

Though Valve has never made regular E3 attendances, many believed the announcements of next-generation hardware meant announcements of next-generation software from the company.

Fans of the Half-Life series will be disheartened, knowing Half-Life 3 will not be announced at E3. Though, this doesn’t rule out the possibility in the future.

Valve now joins 2K who have also sidelined the event, with Nintendo also announcing they will avoid a major press conference at the event this year.

  2. Well, the good news is, Sony and Microsoft will have the whole of E3 to themselves to try to out gun each other with next-gen consoles.
