Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Turbine have announced a new map for Infinite Crisis, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), currently in Closed Beta.
The new map is called ‘Coast City’ and it features two lanes. The lanes are of the traditional MOBA style, with turrets spaced along the lanes. The map also features a jungle area called ‘The Wastes’, and an Infinite Crisis spin on the traditional formula, The Doomsday Device.
The Doomsday Device “offers a brand new addition to the competitive game play, as well as a powerful attack against enemy structures or Champions. This destructive artefact is protected by a neutral turret and re-spawns every five minutes where it will need to be recaptured by either team.”
Another Infinite Crisis spin comes in the form of ‘Power Relays’. Power Relays are control point that will enable a team to push into lanes and gain the ability to see what is happening in The Wastes. The relays will stay locked to the team who captures them for 90 seconds, and stay controller until they are captured by the other team.
Infinite Crisis is continuing to put some innovative spins on a stagnant MOBA genre. You can sign up for your chance to be picked for the Closed Beta on the official website.
