Titanfall Coming To The PS4 “Not Out Of The Question”

Titanfall developer Respawn isn’t ruling out the possibility of the third-party Xbox One exclusive coming to the PlayStation 4 at some point.

“It’s definitely not out of the question,” said Respawn’s Lead Artist Joel Emslie in an interview with Eurogamer about a potential PS4 version of the game. “We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we’re super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.”

EA is the publisher of Titanfall rather than Microsoft but all the same, it might be as simple as just porting it to PlayStation 4.

“Obviously a business relationship between Electronic Arts, Respawn and Microsoft led to this,” said Patrick Soderlund, EA’s Games Label executive. “There’s always reasons for that, but we can’t go into them.”

With Sony and the PlayStation 4 trouncing Microsoft at E3 this year according to the opinions of some, Microsoft would no doubt do everything in its power to keep Titanfall as an exclusive to prevent themselves going down the route of Nintendo with the Wii U I.E losing exclusives.

  2. […] Robbie Key: If what I read about Battlefield 4 is true, that the multiplayer in the demo conference was in its pre-alpha stage, then us gamers have a visual treat on their hands. When they skyscraper collapsed, I literally said wow out loud in my room. I actually might be interested in Need for Speed. I haven’t bought one since the Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed Most Wanted, so I’m considering picking it up around launch time. Titanfall looks great. Shooters (third or first-person) is my favorite genre next to platformers, so I will definitely be looking forward to it when I eventually get an Xbox One, or if it comes to the PS4 before then. […]
