The only thing I did not like about this issue is that they spent too much time being vague and dodging the plot when we really already have an idea of what is going on. It seemed that the time that could have gone into clearing up what the situation was spent on unnecessary dialogue. I do also have to point out killing two of the more memorable Deadpools in the very beginning seemed like a risky move because this means that they will just be introducing new ones which we have less of an attachment to. Sure it’s all about killing each other, but lets not forget that the story is just as important as the action or comedy.

It is worth pointing out the comic style which is applied to the background. It does make the book look a bit cartoonish, but that’s the best way to show that the book can be light. The use of highlights and the facial expressions were also done well which is something you don’t see too often with other Deadpool books.

Aside from this the story has some promise, and I say that now because we know what to expect down the road. Of course with that said it’s all up to Cullen Bunn to be able to deliver on this because when it comes to Deadpool its hit and miss with execution being very vital in its success. The one thing you are left questioning is if this book will take itself seriously. The previous story arc did and this one seems like it might have that conflict between being funny yet dark. Hopefully there will be a balance that doesn’t make you feel as if it has no real purpose.
