The Smurfs 2 Video Game, the movie-licensed game to Columbia Pictures’ and Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming film The Smurf’s 2, is now available to purchase.
Developed by Ubisoft and WayForward of Shantae and Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! fame, The Smurfs 2 Video Game is an action-adventure platformer stretched across more than 30 levels and six environments where you will play as one of nine Smurfs. These characters include Jokey Smurf, Hefty Smurf or Brainy Smurf, who are featured in the film.
With multiple characters to play as, the game also features 4-player cooperative play. A 5-player mode available exclusively for the Wii U where the person with the GamePad controls Clockwork Smurf, a character who helps retrieve items and assist the other players.
The game will also take you to locations in the movie such as Paris and the Enchanted Forest as well as locations only seen in the The Smurfs 2 Video Game. Players can also meet and collect 20 different Smurfs while playing through the game where they can be seen at Smurfs Village to defeat baddies, including Azrael, six bosses and the new characters known as Naughties.
The Smurfs 2 Video Game is available for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. There is also a Smurfs 2 Video Game developed for the Nintendo DS, which contains an interactive storybook and an assortment of mini-games.
