Previous reports suggested Batman Arkham Origins would be receiving a multiplayer mode in the overall package. With the release of the trailer, the reports have turned out to be true.
Invisible Predator Online pits two teams against each other, the Joker’s and Bane’s as they vie for control of Gotham City. Both of the two teams has three players each but developer Splash Damage, the team behind 2011′s Brink, has allowed two more players to take the role of Batman and Robin in this mode.
Invisible Predator Online will work in a similar fashion to the Predator sequences in the story modes in the two previous Arkham games. Batman and Robin will strike from the shadows be it from Gargoyles, air-ducts, from behind walls or other such vantage points. However, if you’re spotted a criminal is able to take you out with a few well placed shots if you’re not careful.
For the two teams of criminals, it’s all about open firefights and aggressive combat whereas for the Dark Knight and Bird-Boy, it’s all about waiting for the right moment to strike. Slow and steady wins the race after all.
Let us know if you’re excited for Invisible Predator Online. If one thing’s for sure, this looks far from tacked on.
