Superior Spider-Man #15
It’s a hard life for a Goblin. Phil has landed himself in a hole that he just can’t dig himself out of. I like how Slott has created this scenario for him in which he’s a villain, but only so much as to help further his own personal agenda. What’s better is that Phil is one of the many villains who have been spotlighted in this new series and we’re only on issue #15.
The pace has been very steady as you see Otto progress as a hero. It’s a new experience for everyone and Otto is still experimenting with it all. Figuring out what it means to be a hero and that is not only what you should expect from a Spidey book, but from this book in general.
With the back to back action that has been molding Otto into the hero he is now, you almost forget that he is Peter underneath that mask. That is what this issue reminds us. It is within luck that Dan Slott has back tracked to remind us that there are still those close to him who question if he really is Peter. And with those suspicions getting stronger, now we will see them act upon it. I mean it is inevitable.
A solid issue and transition from the explosive issue previous. Again if you want something different and something that questions the status quo of super heroics? This is the book for you to read because Slott and Otto both bring something new and exciting to the table.
