‘Thomas Was Alone’ Creator Announces Latest Title ‘Volume’

Mike Bithell, the creator of Thomas Was Alone has announced his new project called Volume.

Volume is a retro flavoured top-down stealth title, designed as a fast paced, smart action game. Bithell describes Volume as “game about a clever man, in a little room.”, players must use their “Ricochet” to control enemies, steal loot and complete levels created by their friends.

The game will include hundreds of challenging and exciting environments, with each area available to be remixed, added to and expanded upon by the community. Players will be able to create and share levels through the games fully-featured level editor. Bithell has also released an 11 minute walkthrough featuring the process of creating a level, which can be seen below.

Bithell has also announced David Housden will be returning from his beautiful score on Thomas Was Alone to provide the musical score for Volume.

No platforms have announced for Volume’s 2014 release at this time, however the game will be playable at Eurogamer Expo 2013.
