INFINITY #1 REVIEW

Infinity #1

Written by: Jonathan Hickman
Art by: Adam Kubert

That is a heck of a way to start an end of the world scenario. Hickman shows exactly why this team was chosen, it is the most dynamic group and it works. All heroes that are willing to do what has to be done in order to save the world.

I loved that when the event begins, everything falls into place. Where there was many cliffhangers, mysteries, and just a lot of vague foretelling of whats to come, everything was clear from the start as to what we can expect. I think we are in for something exciting because all these heroes have something to offer and up to this point they have done just that. Even Sunspot and Cannonball who prove to be two of the most brave and adventurous. Their humor was a great touch as well when everyone else was busy worrying.

The way Hickman set the tone for the story was perfect. He didn’t beat around the bushes and was very blunt. There is a chance that we may not survive this and we are clearly outmatched in strength, now lets take the fight to them before they come knocking at our doorstep. That is what I want to hear and the attitude I’d like to see from Cap in this kind of situation. I actually got shivers of excitement while reading this and that is what tells me this is something worth following to the every end.

Great start to Infinity and this is one book worth picking up regardless of you views of Marvel events. You’re definitely missing out if your someone who enjoys the Avengers title. It has the same feel, and the artistic nature carries over into this book which is a plus to me. Do yourself a favor and add this to your list if you haven’t already.
