New Super Smash Bros. fighters Wii Fit Trainer and Animal Crossing’s Villager will appear in the game’s 3DS counterpart.
The official Smash Bros. website for the latest entry in the series releases new screenshots of the game every day leading up to its launch sometime in 2014. Today’s picture shows both the Wii Fit Trainer and Villager in the cel-shaded 3DS version of the game.
While the Wii U and 3DS versions will have stages designed after the respective platforms – i.e. the Zelda: Spirit Tracks stage in the 3DS Smash Bros. – it has not been confirmed whether or not the same characters will appear in both versions.
Animal Crossing has had two games on Nintendo’s portable platforms whereas Wii Fit has remained solely on Wii-named consoles. It’s hard to say whether or not every character will make appearances in both versions, but this picture signals the possibility.
What do you think? Does this mean the characters in the Wii U Super Smash Bros. will also appear in the 3DS title despite stages designed for a specific console? Let us know by answering the poll below or answering in the comments section.
