Sony has announced PlayStation Vita TV, an Apple TV-like device which will allow you to stream your Vita games to your TV.
PlayStation Vita TV comes with a small box about the size of a deck of cards and the accompanying DualShock 3 controller will allow you to take control of the games so you won’t be using the Vita as the controller with a bright light shining underneath you.
However, that’s not all it does.
Vita TV has slots for your memory card and games. It’ll also support streaming services such as Netflix for example. You can also play PSP and PS One classics on the system as well using the DualShock 3. At some point in the devices future you’ll be able to play PlayStation 4 on it as well via Remote Play.
PlayStation Vita TV will set you back 9, 480 Yen which equates to about $95. A special version will also release for 14, 9280 ($150) which comes with an 8GB Vita memory card and a DualShock 3. PS Vita TV releases late this year on November 14th.
No Western release dates were announced.
