Side-by-Side Comparison for AC IV on PS3 and PS4

Over the course of the last months, Ubisoft has been aggressively marketing the PlayStation 4 version of its upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Because of this, many gamers have been left wondering about the graphical leap between the current, and the next generation systems.

All your worries can be put to rest, now, as you can find a side-by-side graphics comparison of the two versions below.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is scheduled to set sail on October 29th, world-wide, on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Wii U version will arrive on the same date in the U.S., with a Europe launch scheduled on November 22nd, which is also the date for the PC version. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are both launch titles for the respective systems.

    • Indeed, the water and probably all textures from the environments will look better, but anything else seems to remain the same. It’s a cross-gen title, so it was to be expected. That said, it looks mighty impressive, and I’m pleasantly surprised to see the current consoles holding up so well.

    • if you look closer you notice that the rope on the wheel actually moves “Maybe the textures”….. What are you on about? The PS4 version actually had the ropes on the wheel move when he turned it and when on the zoom out of the ship all of the masts on the ship are moving on the PS4 version. no to mention the clarity you get from the next-gen version you should probably watch it again because there is a lot that makes the PS4 version far better.
