Microsoft has just announced that its top-down twin-stick shooter – Halo: Spartan Assault – which was previously exclusive to Windows 8, Surface, and Phone, is now going to be available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well.
Spartan Assault takes place between Halo 3 and Halo 4, starring Spartan Commander Sarah Palmer and Spartan Davis, during the very first Spartan Ops missions.
In addition to the base game, the console versions will also feature the Flood, as a new enemy, alongside new cooperation missions, a new online co-op mode, and new weapons and armor abilities. Additionally, achievements and the five missions from the Operation Hydra DLC will also be present.
The game was originally co-developed by 343 Industries in cooperation with Vanguard Games. It’ll be available as a digital download, this December.
