A trademark was recently filed by Sony Computer Entertainment for Arc the Lad, a classic JRPG that originated in the early days of PlayStation, but hasn’t been seen since 2005 when Arc the Lad: End of Darkness was released on the PS2.
The trademark was filed on Nov. 22, 2013 for computer game software, video game software, video game machine for use with televisions for personal use, etc. It can be found at www.uspto.gov, searching “Trademarks” and entering in Arc The Lad. A pic below shows what’d you find:
This by no means suggests that SCE is currently developing a new entry into the classic franchise, but it is interesting to see the franchise get a fresh trademark after it had been left alone for so long. Only time will tell what will come of it!
