Star Wars

Website Kotaku came across a job opening this week which suggests this supposed open-world game could would be heading for next-gen (or current-gen now) consoles. The listing specifically advertises a role for “an experienced Animation director to help define and deliver on the vision for a major new next gen open world action game.

EA already has two studios, DICE and Visceral working on Star Wars games with the former confirmed to be working on Star Wars Battlefront whilst the latter is looking to hire talent to get started.

Could this be a Star Wars game? EA acquired the license for Star Wars games earlier this year from Disney following the latter’s purchase of Lucasfilm and all its other properties from George Lucas. Ever since the deal was signed, EA has been more than eager to get to work on more games in the franchise.
