If an Italian website is to be believed, the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs has been cancelled.
Wiitalia has reported that Italian GameStop stores have stopped taking preorders for the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs because “Ubisoft scrapped this version.”
According to the site, one of its readers was told by GameStop that their preorder for the game had been cancelled because the game was not being made any more.
Since then, Wiitalia has tried to place preorders for the Wii U version of Watch_Dogs at several GameStops only to be told “Watch_Dogs for Wii U was not available in the store database.”
Analog Addiction has reached out to Ubisoft for an official comment. We will update the story as we find out more.
